Auction Houses

Auction Houses are places that often act as regular shops for buying and selling items and equipment, but also serve another purpose: buying and selling between players. There are several across the world of Jord, and these are outlined in the table below.

To use the various auction platforms around the world:

1. Locate your nearest Auction House and its keeper.
2. To view the available lots for auction/sale, issue the command "lots".
3. To submit an item for auction, use the following format:
   • consign start_price item buyout_price time_in_hours
   • Example: consign sword 25000 50000 24

     The above example submits a sword for consignment at the auction

     house with a starting price if 25,000 gold coins and a buyout price

     of 50,0000 gold coins.

4. To bid on a lot, use the following format:
   • bid lot_number bid
   • Example: bid 25 35000

     The above example bids 35,000 coins on lot #25. You can view the lots and their numbers by issuing the "lots" command in the Auction House.

5. You may cancel one of your auctions by simply issuing the "Cancel" command followed by the lot number you wish to cancel.
6. Finally, to collect your winnings, simply issue the command "collect".
