This spell allows the necromancer to summon undead minions to his or her
aid. The level of the necromancer defines what type of undead and how
many of that type the necromancer can summon. If the necromancer is able
to summon more than one undead at a time, additional mana may be needed.
In that case he can specify how many he wants to summon, for example
-cast 'summon undead' 3 poltergeist.

This spell only calls undead spirits that can flock to the caster through
the constraining walls of the earth. To generate the walking dead (such
fell beings as liches, zombies, etc.) the 'animate dead' spell must be
cast instead, and a corpse must be available to animate.
