No wizard's repertoire is complete without the utilitarian Knock spell.
This fine incantation can pierce both mundane and magical locks without
needing the thief's tools or hard-earned manual dexterity. An inexperienced
caster may have difficulty with some of the more complex mechanical locks;
and of course, the wards of the archmages will be proof against the 'Knock'
of a novice. However, with time and practice this spell will be able to
defeat almost any ward or lock.
